Sowaka Health (“we,” “us”) operates Named Patient and Early Access Programs. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data, including health information, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Contact details, patient identity and health information necessary to process an access case, physician and institution details, and consent records. We collect only what is needed to deliver the program.
We process personal data on the basis of explicit, specific, and withdrawable consent. Patients (or their guardians) may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
To process and deliver access cases, meet regulatory and pharmacovigilance obligations, and — only in de-identified, aggregated form — to generate real-world evidence. We share data with sponsors, regulators, and logistics partners only as required to deliver the service or comply with law.
Some data may be transferred between Sowaka entities in India and the United States. We apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers under the DPDP Act.
Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data. For requests or grievances, contact our Data Protection contact at info@sowakahealth.org.
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the program and applicable regulatory requirements. We may update this policy and will post changes here with a revised date.
